Life Steps Organization (LSO) was formerly known as Muslim Aid Cambodia (MAC) since 2007 under the MOU with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) as a country office of the British Charity for provision of social and technical services for community development, humanitarian response, vocational training, capacity building, livelihood improvement, value chain development, small and medium entrepreneurship development, technology transfer, surveys, monitoring and evaluation of various stakeholders such as government agencies, international organization, donors, local organizations and community groups in Cambodia. To cope with the current COVID19 pandemic and following the localization strategy of Muslim Aid to provide more effective delivery of the services to the local community, LSO has been registered in 2020 with the Ministry of Interior (MOI), Royal Government of Cambodia.

Our mission is to assist the community with vocational training on agricultural technique, social mobilization, establishment and strengthening, research, monitoring and evaluation in Cambodia: We work in synergy with grassroots people and communities, local authorities and cooperative partners by providing effective and sustainable aid assistance and development for communities in response to their challenges and crises pursuant to our objectives.
- Contribute to sharing experience and knowledge with/between partners or grassroots communities regardless of race, color, religion, and belief.
- Contribute to improving people’s livelihoods through agricultural development, providing technical skills and consultation on business activities.
- Support and protect orphans, affected children and impoverished families.
- Contribute to improving community health though primary healthcare programs, sanitation and hygiene and safe water.
- Contribute to promoting the wellbeing of children, elders, people with disabilities and other affected persons.
- Contribute to promoting social economy and morality through human resource development trainings and organizing education programs for people.
- Provide humanitarian assistance for people affected by various natural disasters and fire through food and other using materials.
- Contribute to environmental protection and resilience to climate change to prevent the environment from being eroded and polluted.
- Provide decent homes and shelters for impoverished people, especially those who were affected by disaster.
- Help build schools, infrastructures and place of worship for respect.
Our goal is
to tackle underlying causes of social inequality in education, economy, environment by bringing lasting change to the lives of vulnerable people in Cambodia.
