Prof. Khairul Hafiz
Founder and PresidentProf. Khairul Hafiz, who grew up in Barishal, Bangladesh, is the Founder and President of Life Steps Org and a champion for developing leadership and believes in the power of charity, clarity, and collaboration. Prior to Life Steps, he was the Country Director of Muslim Aid UK – Cambodia and Bangladesh country offices and where he worked alongside children and communities affected by disaster and decades-long deprivation.
In Cambodia, he contributed to youth active citizenship, secondary, and higher education, and influenced the country’s drive to the water and sanitation sector and humanitarian responses to disasters. In 2012, the Prime Minister of Cambodia acknowledged Kharirul Hafiz’s contribution to the country with a gold medal from the Royal Government of Cambodia.
Prof. Khairul Hafiz earned his MBA of Management Information Systems (MIS) from Daffodil International University, Dhaka, and a Master’s degree in Management from National University, Bangladesh, and since 2007 he had been teaching on a part-time basis in the Graduate School of Norton University, Cambodia. He served as a technical adviser and consultant in the World Bank, IFAD, FAO, and in a number of government ministries and international organizations.
